Evolving Training in District 55
Training and development are central to Toastmasters, and like our members, they must continue to grow and adapt. The Ask a Toastmaster series gave members a chance to ask questions and connect with experienced Toastmasters in an open Q&A format. While it created some great conversations, attendance showed us that the format and timing weren’t the best fit for most members.
That’s why we’re moving to something new; Specialized Training Sessions designed to deliver deeper learning, more flexibility, and greater impact. This shift is about helping every member practice with purpose through opportunities that meet you where you are and support your success.
Introducing the New Specialized Training Series
Our new training model is designed with you in mind:
Flexible Scheduling: Unlike the previous fixed schedule, our new format allows for sessions on different days and times, so more members can participate without schedule conflicts
Focused Sessions: Each workshop or lecture will dive into a single topic, helping you gain knowledge and skills you can immediately apply in your club and beyond
Deeper Learning: Sessions will run a full hour, allowing for meaningful discussion, hands-on practice, and a stronger grasp of the material
Interactive Engagement: We will emphasize interactive learning, ensuring participants can fully grasp the material presented
Member Driven Content: Topics will reflect the real challenges and requests we hear from you, ensuring training feels timely and useful
Embracing a New Era of Training - Looking Ahead
This change marks an exciting step forward for District 55. By focusing on purposeful, member-driven learning, the Specialized Training Series will help you sharpen skills, grow as a leader, and achieve your goals.
Detailed information about upcoming sessions will be available on our website as they are released. Keep an eye on the training page!
Together, let’s practice with purpose and continue growing as a district.
