Beloved Toastmaster, mentor and healer.
2 Nov 2025
Kathy Moore, a beloved leader, mentor, and force to be reckoned with in the District 55 Toastmasters community, passed away today.
A post on her Facebook page reads: “You’re either on my side, by my side, or in my way.” That was Kathy Moore — bold, brilliant, unstoppable.
Kathy didn’t tiptoe through life; she charged forward with purpose and conviction, lifting others as she went. District Director in 2021–2022, she served the District for years — building and rebuilding clubs, coaching leaders, and achieving results. Not for ego, but because she knew what people were capable of when someone believed in them and held them accountable. She was an evangelist for helping people find their voice, change their lives, and change the lives of others. Thousands did, because of her.
She was the kind of leader who combined steel and heart — challenging you one moment and making you laugh until you cried the next. Her “flamingo flock” followed her everywhere, flamingos being bright, fun, and a little rebellious — just like her.
Outside Toastmasters, Kathy was a professional hypnotist, teacher, and healer. She helped people find peace in chaos, confidence in fear, and joy in everyday life. Her last post was all about that — choosing joy, even when the world feels uncertain.
That was her way: face the storm, find the light, and share it.
Kathy was smart, stubborn, fiercely loyal, and absolutely one of a kind. She didn’t just make an impact — she left a legacy.
Unstoppable. Unapologetic. Unforgettable.
That was Kathy Moore. We will miss her.
