District Leadership Candidates 2024/2025
Our District Leadership Chair Livya Mitchell, DTM is ready to receive your nominations and applications for next year's District Leadership Team.
The District is looking for Area Directors, Division Directors, Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director, District Director, Finance Director, Administration Manager, Logistics Manager, Public Relations Manager, District Parliamentarian, and Chairs of all types as well assistants for all these roles.
Even if we believe we already have a candidate for these roles, we want to hear about new, more and fresh members to be part of our Leadership Team. It's time for new ideas!
Below is the formal process of the application. However, Livya will be walking all candidates through the process, so please do not let these forms or the process scare you away. We will make the process as easy as possible.

The first step is to email Liv: email@example.com. Once you've completed the first steps together, interviews will be in February.
Office Descriptions and Nomination Forms
The following documents come directly from Toastmasters International.
The District offices up for election are District Director, Program Quality Director, Club Growth Director, and five Division Directors.
All other roles are appointed by the District Director (ie there is no election process).
District Leader Qualifications - description of minimum requirements by office
District Leader Competencies - Areas that candidates will be rated on by the Leadership Committee. Competencies are listed by office.
Elected Office/Leader Descriptions from the District Leader Handbook.
Forms due to the Leadership Committee Chair by February 15, 2023.
District Leader Nominating Form - can be filled out by the nominee or by the member nominating the nominee. Be sure you have the nominee's permission.
Officer Agreement and Release Form - must be filled out and signed by the nominee and turned in with the Nominating Form
Candidate Biography Form - must be filled out and sent to the District Leadership Committee Chair
Photograph - Image should be a color photograph of the candidate's head and shoulders
A MUST READ for all candidates: Protocol 9.0 District Campaigns and Elections from the Toastmasters International Policy and Protocol Document. It contains process information, campaign rules, etc.
February 7th: Deadline for receipt of District Leader Nominating Forms and Officer Agreement and Release forms. After forms are filled out, email them to a Leadership Committee Co-Chair.
February: Nominee Interviews. The Nominations Committee Chair will notify qualified applicants regarding the interview time. The interviews will be held virtually.
March: Notification of Nomination to nominees
March: Nomination Committee Report presented at the DEC meeting
May: District Council Meeting during which elections will take place.
