This weekend was full of laughter, fellowship, education and excitement at the 2015 District 55 Fall Conference at the Wyndham Garden hotel in Austin! Headlining our event was the presence of the Toastmasters International President-Elect, Mike Storkey, DTM and his wife, Lesley Storkey, DTM.

Beginning on Friday, November 13th, District members were able to mix and mingle with each other while they had their pick of 3 valuable educational sessions. After that, we enjoyed a delicious meal and were witness to DTM Lesley Storkey's very first keynote presentation! She presented on how important it is to have H.E.A.R.T. when it comes to being a Toastmaster. After her presentation we were regaled with the Table Topics Contest.

Saturday, November 14th, started out with DTM Mike Storkey presenting his keynote address to the membership on how important it is to have passion while serving as a Toastmaster. District members had their fill of two separate educational sessions after enjoying the always favorite 'Parade of Banners'. The lunch event was filled with the presentation of awards and recognitions from the previous Toastmasters year. Saturday night was jammed packed with excitement combining the DTM Ceremony and the Humorous Speech Contest!

Sunday, as we packed our things to leave, we had the honor of delivering a roast to our Immediate Past District Governor, DTM Crystal Allbritton. We all had a great time telling stories of our past with Crystal and taking fun little jabs.

Registration for the Spring 2016 Conference is now available! Make sure you get yourself registered soon so you don't miss a single opportunity!
