Learning and applying leadership skills are important elements of success during your term as club Secretary. Be sure to attend District-sponsored Club officer training events to learn how to fulfill your role effectively, network with other club officers in your District, and connect with trainers and District leaders who can help you in achieving success.
- Taking the minutes at each club meeting and executive committee meeting
- Maintaining club files, including meeting minutes, resolutions and correspondence (see pg. 35 in Club Leadership Handbook for lengths of time for certain materials)
- Updating and distributing roster of current paid membership
- Reporting new elected officers to Toastmasters International via Club Central
- Supporting the Vice President Education as Pathways Base Camp manager by completing Base Camp manager tasks
- Attending the Club Executive meetings
You accomplish your responsibilities by:
- Keeping custody of Club’s charter, constitution, and addendum and all other Club records and documents; accurate record of Club and executive committee meetings and activities.
- Maintaining accurate and complete roster of individual Club members
- Transmitting all records to your successor in office
- Providing meeting notices as required by this constitution and immediately notifies World Headquarters of Toastmasters International of any change in the roster of individual members
- Attending the Toastmasters Annual Convention or assigning your proxy to an attending delegate
