The Toastmasters PR Team
Are you a writer or a photographer? Do you like to take videos? If so, YOU, not me, are going to make a major difference in Toastmasters public relations this year. Do you like the idea of having your club and its members highlighted for the things they do? Great! We are going to make a good team.
If on the other hand, you don't want to be the VP-PR person in your club, quit. Seriously! Quit. Life's too short to do things you don't want to do or to do them poorly. If you want to learn how to make a difference, I can help you truly be all you can be, but if you don't want to do PR - quitting is your best option. I hope you decide to hang in there because we PR people are going to have more fun than anyone else in Toastmasters this year.
I'm a golfer. I only play once a week, sadly, but I still shoot in the high 70s and low 80s. You know why I'm good? I don't worry about where the ball is going to go when I get ready to hit it. I know the basics cold and I know that if I follow the basics properly, the ball will go pretty much where I want it to go. The same thing is true in every aspect of our lives - including Toastmasters public relations.
I want to touch base with every PR-VP or anyone else who wants to do PR within the next 30 days after this newsletter is published. In every team there is an offense, defense and special teams. We PR folks are going to be the special teams on our Toastmaster Team. I don't care if you can't spell PR correctly, if you want to be one and you want to make a difference, let's talk.
You can reach me at pro@tmd55.org or at 512-527-8495. Are you ready to play?
