Get Up 'n Go Toastmasters
Toastmaster: Beverly Pond, Able Toastmaster I was born in Denton, Texas and spent a short 6 months there till my dad graduated from North Texas. I then became an official Air Force Brat and I don't remember all the places dad was stationed, but it was always an adventure and I loved making new friends and seeing new sights. I graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in 1976 and have enjoyed the retail world of pharmacy ever since. Getting involved in pharmacy organizations made me aware of the need to improve my communication and leadership skills and Get Up and Go has made the difference for me ever since I joined way back in 1981. As a pharmacist at CVS, I continue to value the practice and feedback I get from Get Up and Go. Why continue . . because through toastmasters I have seen the value of better communications every day, in the workplace, at home and with friends. I also value the friendships I have made at Get Up and Go with other professionals and finding we all have similar opportunities that challenge us.
