District Email Forwarding

Area, Division, and District officers have an email address on tmd55.org which forwards to their personal email account.

By default, we use the email address you have on file with Toastmasters.org as the destination for your forwarded tmd55.org messages.  If you desire a different destination, send a note to webmaster@tmd55.org.

Why Email Forwarding?

  • Allows year to year consistency for members’ points of contact.
  • Easily stop email traffic to a personal email address
  • Quickly change tmd55.org traffic to new, incoming officers
  • Prevents personal email address from being listed on the District's public web site

Suggested Email Address

  • As a District leader, your email volume will be greater than that of a club member. With a separate email account you will have a single location for all Toastmaster-related messages instead of clogging-up your personal email account.
  • We suggest you setup a Google Gmail account for your Toastmaster-related email. A commonly selected (and often available) address is your name prefaced with “tm”
    ​e.g. tmJohnDeaux@gmail.com 

Technical Notes

  • You can only receive messages from your tmd55.org address, making initial contact with members.
  • You can not send emails through tmd55.org
  • Your replies to members will be from your personal address.
  • There are no real email accounts on tmd55.org to hack. So there are no passwords to protect.
  • The forwarders utilize spam filters; however, some spam may get through forwarded to your personal account.

​For example, if you are the Area K74 Director and a member could address an email to area-k74-dir@tmd55.org, and our system will automatically forward that email to your designated address.
