If the above dates cannot be met, the date must be negotiated with the Chair of the next level contest. At a minimum, all contests must be completed at least two weeks prior to the next level contest. For example, your Club contest must be completed at least two weeks before your Area's contest.
FYI - the Spring 2018 season will have contests for International Speech and Evaluation.
About Speech Contests
Toastmasters Speech Contests are events that showcase the talents of both members who compete and members who organize and support the events. Many wonderful benefits accrue to those that participate:
Contests are held twice a year, once in the Fall and once in the Spring. Up to two contests are held at one time, yielding a maximum of four contests per year. Club, Area, and Division Contest deadlines are driven by the dates of the District Conferences. If Conferences are held earlier or later than November/May, the prior contest deadline dates are adjusted accordingly. Below are typical times when contests are held.

The International Speech Contest winner for District 55 will compete in a semi-final contest at the International Convention in August. Winners of the semi-final contests will advance to THE International Speech Contest with a NEW speech two days later at the same Convention.
