Toastmasters Golden Lady
|
| Region III Advisor Lark Doley, DTM |
Since she joined Today Toastmasters in October, 1990, Lark Doley has been hooked. For 21 years she has devoted her time and endless energy to this organization. Not only has she served from the club through the International level as a leader, officer, trainer, mentor, and presenter, she has entered and won some speech contests along the way.
Lark is in her second term as Region Advisor for Region III which includes Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kansas, and western Missouri. She has served in many positions of District and higher leadership. Some but not all of her notable positions and accomplishments include:
Her professional career includes Marketing Management positions at Texas Instruments and Second Wave as well as her current job as a curriculum developer for MAXIMUS. She and her husband Roger Storer, DTM live in Jonestown, TX in the Hill Country northwest of Austin.
"I truly believe in our servant leadership philosophy and the power of its implementation. I have had the privilege to serve in many district officer roles. I have experienced the challenges and the opportunities of each role and worked with teams to creatively face the challenges of these roles. I like sharing these ideas, but more importantly, facilitating the sharing of ideas, techniques, and tools used by all the district leaders."
In District 55, we have come to know Lark as a mentor and a friend. When asked to do something for Toastmasters, she eagerly volunteers, whether at the club level, International level, or any level in between. Lark always wears a touch of gold to represent the golden opportunities that Toastmasters offers. She is known for "Going for the Gold" in her presentations, giving out Hershey's gold nuggets, encouraging each of us to go for the gold in our achievements. She has truly earned the nickname "Golden Lady."
District 55 is proud to be the home of Golden Lady Lark Doley!
