Destination DTM: Go for the Gold!

DTM—the Distinguished Toastmaster Award is the highest level of achievement that Toastmasters awards to its members. It is the pinnacle achievement of the Education and Leadership track.

Any Toastmaster in District 55 who completes a DTM award between July 1, 2010, and June 30, 2011, will receive a gold Texas-shaped badge with the Toastmaster’s name, and the designation “DISTINGUISHED TOASTMASTER” engraved on the badge. In order to be recognized and receive your award at the 2011 Spring Conference, you will need to receive your DTM award prior to April 30, 2011 to allow time for ordering the badges and printing the programs. Those receiving the DTM award between May 1, 2011 and June 30, 2011 will be recognized and receive their awards at the Fall 2011 Conference.

Gloria Williams, Go for the Gold Chair, will be your guide on this journey toward DTM. As a Past District Governor who completed her second DTM this year, she is knowledgeable about the process. If you have questions about what is required to attain DTM status, she will help you find answers. Make this the year you Go for the Gold and complete the requirements for your DTM.

Could we have 55 DTMs standing on the stage in San Antonio on May 21 during the District 55 spring conference this year? It could happen if you take the challenge to Go for the Gold! The journey in itself is rewarding, and the destination is worth the effort!

For more information, contact Go for the Gold Chair Gloria Williams.
