District 55 Club Coach Program

The club coach’s mission is to help your club achieve Distinguished status under the Distinguished Club Program (DCP). That includes completing 5 of the 10 goals of the Distinguished Club Program and adding a net of five new members to your club during the Toastmaster year (July 1 to June 30). The Distinguished Club Program measures how healthy a club is, so achieving Distinguished status is desirable and an indication that your club is moving from a low member club to a thriving club!

Any club with 12 or fewer members is eligible for a club coach (maximum of two for each club). This is a service provided by Toastmasters International to help clubs who want to grow and get firmer footing. Since the coach would be attending meetings regularly, an added person to help with the programming needs is a real plus! In addition, the coach can present some of the Successful Club Series Toastmasters modules such as Moments of Truth to help your entire club analyze A) where you stand at the present,B) where you want to be, and how you can get from point A to point B.

Club Coach Questions & Answers

How will the Club Coach work with our Club?

The coach is a resource person. Ideally the coach would meet with your officers, and you would have brainstorming sessions about ways to grow the membership of your club and make other improvements. Your club members have the final say. Your club will vote on what you want to do and make the final decisions.

What’s in it for the coach?

If your club achieves Distinguished status, the coach gets credit toward the Advanced Silver Leadership (ALS) designation. The coach also makes new friends and hopefully learns more about being a servant leader.

How will District 55 help?
